Oscar (Oz) Stuckey started singing in groups at Hollidaysburg High School in 10th grade. His music teacher had him sing in a folk group. the mixed chorus and a barbershop quartet. He participated in 2 County, 2 District and 1 Regional State Chorus Concerts.

After graduation, he entered the Army. While serving in Germany, he was assigned to Special Services and traveled Europe for 18 months singing in the Marne Glee Club chorus.

After an Honorable Dischage from the Army, he joined the Altoona Choral Society and later the Keystone Chorale (later called The Blair Concert Chorale.)

He has also performed on stage in 40 shows with The Altoona Community Theatre, Cresson Lake Playhouse and Tyrone Community Theatre.

He has been singing in the Altoona Horseshoe Chorus (Barbershop) for 23 years, and performed with the “Sentimental Favorites” and “Holliday Harmonizers” barbershop quartets.

Denny Ivory started his musical career at the early age of 17. He and a few friends worked together to form a local band "Sojourn" that entertained Blair & Cambria counties in the 1970's. He later sang with "Mandrake" another local band.

Denny continued to sing in his church choir and enjoyed singing karaoke in local clubs. He also joined the local chapter of barbershoppers, The Altoona Horseshoe Chorus. During his membership, he sang with the Holliday Harmonizers Quartet. He also found himself on stage at the Mishler Theatre with a role in "A Christmas Caroled".

After too many long nights of waiting his turn to sing karaoke, Denny and his friend Oz purchased some equipment and took their talent on the road. Singing in retirerment homes and care facilities was an extremely rewarding experience. Their popularity grew, and invitations poured in of different events asking the duo to perform... "The Sharp Tones" were born.

Oz and Denny singing "Bye, Bye Love" at the Barclay Square in Punxsutawney on August 24, 2006. Over 250 people showed up with lawn chairs to hear the duo sing for two hours. Oz asked the crowd why they erected a statue of 'Gus' in the middle of Punxsutawney. The angry crowd almost booed them off the stage!
